How do roles and splits work?

Name who did what, then lock when the work is done.

Roles

A role labels a person’s contribution on the song (for example producer, writer, vocalist, mixer).

Keep roles accurate while you work. They become the Verified Credit when locked.

When to lock

Lock a role when that contribution for this Session is finished.

  1. Open the Session.
  2. Find the person’s role.
  3. Confirm the role name is correct.
  4. Lock the role.
  5. Check the profile to confirm the Verified Credit appeared.

Splits and notes

If your team tracks split percentages or ownership notes, keep those in the Session so everyone sees the same numbers.

If something looks wrong after lock, contact support before starting another Session with the same group.
